Visa-free travel

Three common routes cover many ordinary-passport holders. Check every condition that applies to your trip.

By international agreement

These nationalities have a standing visa-free arrangement. Where the MFA table does not set a fixed number of days, the permitted stay follows the applicable treaty and migration rules.

If you need a visa

Choose the route that fits your passport, timing and point of entry.

A

Electronic visa

Available to ordinary-passport holders from 68 countries, including the US, Canada, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the UK. It is single-entry, valid for up to 30 days and normally processed within 7 calendar days through E-Pasluga. No embassy visit or visa-support documents are required.

B

Visa on arrival at Minsk Airport

This is a pre-arranged airport visa, not a walk-up visa. The inviting person or organisation must submit the original visa-support request and a copy to the MFA airport office no later than 2 working days before arrival. Ask for the stamped copy before flying because the airline may request it at check-in.

C

Visa before travel

If your passport and route do not meet a visa-free or e-visa option, apply through a Belarusian embassy or consulate before departure. Standard visa applications generally require a form, photo, passport, visa-support documents, medical insurance and the consular fee.

After arrival

Register your stay within 10 days

A temporary foreign visitor must register at the actual place of stay within 10 days unless a law or international agreement provides an exception. Hotels and other collective accommodation normally register guests at check-in. In a private apartment, registration can be completed through E-Pasluga; the service may be subject to the applicable fee.

Important: travellers who entered across the Belarus–Russia border must register in person at the local citizenship and migration office.
